About Us

A Humble Beginning

Cornerstone Community Churches have a very humble beginning.

CCC as we call it, was a small house fellowship started by Suresh John Jacob and his wife Maya Jacob from their home in Trivandrum, Kerala, India on the 23rd September 2012.

Before they relocated back to Trivandrum, their hometown, Suresh and Maya, along with their two Children Hans and Hannah, had lived in Chennai for around seven years. While everything was going great for the family, sometime in October 2011, Suresh felt that the Lord is asking him to move back the family to Trivandrum. He asked God to convince his wife Maya as a confirmation of God's will for the family to move lock, stock and barrel. God did that miraculously and they decided to relocate with a clear mind, not knowing what is next for them for work, kids school and serving God. However, as always, God had some wonderful plans for the whole family in each of those areas.

While they were planning to shift from Chennai to Trivandrum, Suresh got an invitation to be a part of the Advanced Leadership Training with Haggai International. After relocating to Trivandrum, Suresh attended the Haggai Institute in Chiang Mai, Thailand, during June 2012.

It is during the Haggai Institute International training, God gave Suresh a vision of planting 100 churches starting from Trivandrum. He shared the God given vision to few of his teachers at the Haggai Institute and they prayed over him and sent him to plant the first church in Trivandrum.

“Cornerstone Community” is now registered as a Religious Charitable Trust with the registered and administrative office in Trivandrum, Kerala, India.

Since 2012, Cornerstone has planted 3 churches in different parts of India. The first church CCC planted is in Trivandrum, Kerla state, the second in Imphal, Manipur State and the third one in Thovala, Tamilnadu state, in India.

CCC directly supports another 2 more independent and pioneering mission fields, one in Chhattisgarh and another in South Trivandrum.
