Pastoral Ordination and Apostolic Covering
Suresh John Jacob has been ordained as a pastor by the Praise Evangelical Church, Singapore and Pastor Ramachandran Periasamy (Brother Rama), who was then the senior pastor of the church on 01st November 2015.
Since 2012, Brother Rama (Pastor Ramachandran Periasamy) and his wife sister Jeya are discipling Suresh and his wife Maya and the Praise Evangelical Church (PEC), Singapore gives the apostolic covering for them and the Cornerstone Community Churches and its ministries.
It was a God appointed, life-changing season for Suresh at the Haggai Institute in June 2012 at Chiang Mai, Thailand. It was there he met Brother Rama. Brother Rama was one of his teachers in the Haggai Institute and influenced Suresh immediately because of his sacrificial and humble life, his obedience to the Lord and his passion for evangelism.
Suresh has always prayed for a mentor with the Father heart of God and thus He answered it. From then Brother Rama has been discipling Suresh and has given the ministry the apostolic covering.
About Pastor Rama
Pastor Ramachandran Periasamy, better known as Rama, was born and raised in Singapore. He got converted from the Hindu background at a very young age and has been instrumental in bringing his family to the Lord.
He retired as a Major, after 26 year of service in the Air Force of the Republic of Singapore. He now serves as an Operations Executive in the Singapore Civil Service. Today, in addition to his full-time work in the civil service, he serves as Chairman of the Board and the Missions Pastor of Praise Evangelical Church, Singapore.
By the end of 2018, he handed over the post of ‘Senior Pastor’ and now concentrates on missions and training. Under his leadership, churches have been established in 12 states of India and in 5 different countries. As a result of these endeavors, more than 6000 churches/cell centers have been established and pioneered. The organization which he pioneered with the help of the Holy Spirit, has 200 church planters and pastors working to fulfill the Great Commission in the developing countries.
Rama is an international faculty for the Haggai Institute and also a qualified associate trainer for John Maxwell’s leadership program called “Equip”. He has conducted leadership/evangelism training/seminars in 20 different countries, especially for training Christians in the market place.
In July 2019, he released his first book titled “Here am I”, which looks at the importance of fulfilling the Great Commission and his journey in ending gospel poverty.
Rama holds a LLB- Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.
Brother Rama and his precious wife Sister Jeya, have three wonderful children.
Pastor Rama and Sister Jeya have been a great inspiration and guidance to Suresh and Maya in their walk with God, in nurturing their family, praying and constantly guiding them in the church planting ministry and all that they do for the Kingdom!
