Founders
Suresh and Maya have been serving the Lord since 2002. While Suresh has an evangelistic heart, Maya has a serving and caring heart. These have always worked well together for them in their ministry among the people they reach out to and disciple, especially the young people living away from comfort and security of their own homes.
They always have served the Lord as tent-makers. While Suresh worked as a corporate executive in some of India’s largest corporate houses at the senior management levels, Maya has been a passionate Mathematics teacher in some very reputed Christian Schools. This made them involve in evangelism and discipleship at their workplaces as well extend it out into the market place.
This couple has a special heart for young couples and youngsters living away from their own homes.
“Open House” is the model of their discipling. Their house has been open to all those whom they have been discipling and many have almost lived with them a good amount of time every week until they are married, move for work or higher education or are ready to disciple others.
They walk together with those whom God has entrusted them, discipling and upholding them in faith, helping them being deep rooted in the Word of God, holding them in the power of intercession and in fellowship.
While back in Chennai and now in Trivandrum they have given much emphasis to teaching the Word of God and training them to interpret and learn the Word themselves. They do a systematic Bible study which they have developed, named DBS (Discipleship Bible Study). It consists of 30 lessons with a very balanced doctrinal standpoint. Other courses that they have developed for these disciples are Character qualities from the Bible, Parenting, Marriage, Managing Finances, How to be a witness at the work place, etc.
Suresh and Maya have two children, Hans and Hannah.
Hans is just finishing his undergrad in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Bangalore and Hannah is just finishing her high school.
Hans is a gifted worship leader- he sings, plays the guitar and keyboard and is also passionate in designing and managing events.
Hannah is also a worship singer and an encourager. She, with a lot of creative talents like handcraft and baking, is always around with Suresh and Maya, cheering and being a delight to the family and the church.
